So as visible on the screen, the device ships with Android 2.3.4 and WM port 1.2. I would imagine that Sony would choose to release this during Christmas to take advantage of the shopping season and the fact that Ice Cream Sandwich will be released by then. I personally hope Sony does not add a camera to the back of this and instead adds large premium speakers.

Looks good. I wonder if this will equal/beat the X series in terms of SQ. I own a SE Arc, so I also wonder if owning both these devices is too much of an overlap. What I would really like to see( but I know it won't happen) is a firmware upgrade to the X series making it compatible with "Music Unlimited". Such an upgrade would finally make proper use of the WiFi capability of the X series.
