NWZ-A860 Service Manual

Hey everyone, here is the NWZ-A86x service manual.  You should be able to enter the service menu to remove any volume caps but at your own risk.  Although there is no guarantee that the cap will be removed.  The key combination seems to be different from the original set back from 2012.  Thanks to Robert for bringing this to my attention.

I have tried this on my E570 but it does not seem to enter the service menu, so if anyone gets it to work, please leave a comment here.  More instructions what to do once you enter the service menu after the break.

Sony NWZ-A15 passes through e-POSTEL

The NWZ-A15 passed through the Indonesian certification agency this past Monday, 15th of July.  This provides further evidence for a release soon and at least a NWZ-A15 being sold in Indonesia.

So far no other new information has appeared but, shouldn't be too long before Sony decides to release press images.

New Sony A-Series coming at IFA 2014?

Sony will soon be introducing a new Walkman, resurrecting the A-Series name once again.  The most surprising aspect may actually be what appears to be a micro-SD card slot on the side.  There will be 3 models, with Japan receiving the NW-A16 (32 GB) and A17 (64 GB) and the the rest of the world will have 2 models, NWZ-A15 (16 GB) and NWZ-A17 (64 GB).

The device will feature both bluetooth and NFC, permitting quick connection to wireless headphones and speakers.  Just like earlier with the new WS-Series, confidentiality of the FCC documents ends in early September 2014, so an IFA debut is likely, with possibly press info late August.
