Sony WI-XB400, Wireless Xtra Bass In-ear headphones coming soon

Sony wixb400 wi-xb400

It appears Sony is not quite finished with their wireless headphone lineup just yet.  Today on the FCC, the WI-XB400 made an appearance, and judging from the model name, we are looking at a mid level pair of wireless in-ear headphones with Sony's Xtra Bass.

Sony Introduces WI-C200 and WI-C310 Wireless Headphones

Sony has quietly introduced the new WI-C200 and WI-C310 Wireless In-Ear headphones.  I wrote about the new headphones back in January when they passed through the FCC and an update when they were Bluetooth certified.  I thought the headsets could debut at MWC but that did not occur and Sony just decided to put them up onto the site, around 3-4m after the initial FCC filing.  With no press release, time to go through the product pages to see what the new wireless headphones offer.

Sony will be releasing updated WF-1000XM3 Wireless Ear Buds

Sony released their Airpod competitor in the fall of 2017, while a great looking and sounding product with impressive noise cancellation, the battery life was less than desirable.  You can check out Pocket-lint's review to see if they are worth your money.  But personally I would wait, even if Sony has dropped the price, for this new model.

WH-XB900N, Wireless XB headphones with Noise Cancellation coming from Sony (update)

Sony has recently launched the new WH-XB700 wireless Bluetooth headphones, I wrote about these back in early January for the CES post, expecting them to debut there.  But instead Sony announced them back in early March instead, you can read more at PhoneArena.

But it seems Sony will not be stopping there, not too long ago, a new model passed through the FCC, the WH-XB900N, and not much can be see in the image from the FCC but comparing it to the WH-XB700 filing here, it seems these new headphones might just be the XB700 with Noise cancellation.

The SRS-XB402, New Wireless WiFi/BT Speaker with Google Assistant coming from Sony

Sony will be launching a new WiFi and Bluetooth enabled wireless speaker in the near future.  Preliminary information is limited right now but there is support for 2.4/5.0Gz Wifi a/b/g/n and Blueooth 4.2 LE. The device was certified on FCC and Wifi Alliance last month, so perhaps a market introduction will occur within the next few months.

Sony WH-CH500 successor coming soon, WH-CH510

A new pair of Sony headphones have passed through the FCC, the WH-CH510.  They appear to have a similar design than the current CH500 so it might just be an update of internal components, mainly to Bluetooth v5.0 I suspect.  Unfortunately there is no mention of BT v5.0 in the documents but judging by the name, 510, and going by the recent fillings for the WI-C200 and WI-C310, the change from WI-C300 to WI-C310 shows an update to the Bluetooth version, so this might be the same case here.
