That time of the year again, Black Friday. There are some great deals, some not so great, but it all depends what you have been waiting for to drop in price. If you order through the affiliate links, I do earn a small commission which I use to buy any new devices to test and post up a review.
Edit: I am not sure if these prices will remain for Cyber Monday but if you missed the Black Friday deals, perhaps the Cyber Monday prices will be the same.
Walkmans
There are not many Walkmans available but I will throw up some offers from Amazon. New models are coming next year, so I would suggest waiting since those should offer better battery life and performance.
The NW-WM1M2 is discounted in the UK but not Germany. If anyone wishes to grab one, check the links below.
Amazon UK - £1043 | Amazon DE - 1399 €
For those with deep pockets, the NW-WM1Z is available on Amazon Germany, for 3700 Euros.
The A-Series is still available in Europe, but only Germany has a discount on it. A new model is coming next year, so I would suggest waiting for that one, unless you need a player right now.
Amazon UK - £213 | Amazon DE - 249 €
Headphones
Sony's premium WH-1000XM5 does have some discounts. I am currently testing it myself after I bought my own pair not too long ago on discount. All prices below are in local currency, so technically, the WH-1000XM5 in Canada is cheaper than in the US.
Amazon US - $348 | Amazon UK - £295 | Amazon DE - 305 € | Amazon Canada - $398
While we wait for news of the new model and the multipoint firmware, the price has been reduced on the WF-1000XM4 quite significantly. I know people are complaining of battery drain issues on the current firmware, but a lot of users who are buying the WF-1000XM4 now are not experiencing this issue on firmware 1.5.0, which is not available to the public. Whether Sony will release this firmware to users is unknown, I suspect they are waiting to release a newer firmware with the multipoint soon.
Amazon US - $178 | Amazon UK - £159 | Amazon DE - 150 € | Amazon Canada - $248
The LinkBuds S received the multipoint firmware not too long ago and people seem to prefer the size and shape of these better than the WF-1000XM4. But from what I have read from reviews and users, the WF-1000XM4 still offer a better sound and NC experience. But the LinkBuds S are a lot more affordable.
Amazon US - $128 | Amazon UK - £119 | Amazon DE - 119 € | Amazon Canada - $168
While I am personally not sold on the LinkBuds, I have not tested them, so perhaps in some situations they might be ideal, like the office. But when these are only slightly less expensive than the LinkBuds S, or even more in certain cases, I say just grab the LinkBuds S.
Amazon US - $128 | Amazon UK - £109 | Amazon DE - 121 € | Amazon Canada - $178
If you want a decent affordable wireless earbuds from Sony, the WF-C500 are great. I own a pair myself, and they offer pretty good battery life and decent sound. With the Sony Headphone connect App, they sound very good. I have owned these since last year and have been wanting to do a long term review, so if I find some extra time I will get one up. I will point out that a new model is coming next year, and this time with noise cancellation, with an announcement in February 2023.
Amazon US - $58 | Amazon UK - £49 | Amazon DE - 49 € | Amazon Canada - $78
If you want extra bass and noise cancellation the WH-XB910N right now are really discounted. These do use some tech from the WH-1000XM5, like the V1 Processor (MT2822), and has dual noise cancellation. But one of the NC mics is a normal electret type and not MEMS, which is weird. Right now they are more than 50% Off in the US.
Amazon US - $123 | Amazon UK - £139 | Amazon DE - 120 € | Amazon Canada - $198
Finally Sony's new ZV-1 camera also a slight discount. Being a new product it will not be much, but it is always something.
Amazon US - $648 | Amazon UK - £669 | Amazon DE - 601 € | Amazon Canada - $898
That is all of the deals I wanted to post, there are more but it would take me ages to get them up on here. As always thanks for reading and if you grab anything via the affiliate links, much appreciated and thank you.
Also for anyone generous, I do have a Wish list up on Amazon.
