The Sony WF-1000XM6 has appeared on the Encompass Parts website. Well, parts for the new model have appeared on the site. No doubt the links will be removed once I post this up (day 7 and still not removed, seriously Sony?), but the listings provide another clue that the upcoming earbuds are coming in early 2026.
There is a ship date, 02/27/2026, 67 days away from today. This ship date might indicate that the earbuds will be available by this date, so we should see an announcement before then. Still hoping we will see the new earbuds at CES 2026, but I have doubts.
We also have pricing, black 9.77 CAD, and silver 11.77 CAD. Both are discounted (uh?), normally priced at 12.60 CAD for black and 14.41 CAD for silver. Why the silver colour is more expensive is beyond me, but the black and silver tips for the WF-1000XM5 are priced differently as well.
The tips are the silicone tips, not foam isolation. The foam isolation tips are sold in pairs by size, and not as an entire pack like silicone tips below.

The closer we get to the announcement, the more likely something will leak. So keep checking the site from time to time.
Also if anyone from Sony is reading this, I would more than gladly do a review of the new model. I will even sign an NDA :D.

ReplyDeleteI don't think it will be announced at CES because Sony is not exhibiting at CES. Sony's exhibition space and media presentation slot has all been given to Sony Honda Mobility and their EV brand Afeela. Which by the way has a native proprietary operating system and personal agent. So clearly Sony is prioritising the Afeela platform. So for the first time ever Sony will have its own mobile OS. This could have big implications for Sony audio products in the near future
ReplyDeleteAgreed CES seems unlikely, considering Sony would want to make the reveal and debut a main event rather than part of some press conference.
