The name in the image file on the Sony website is quite familiar,

E6 was used by Sony back in May 2025, when I first wrote about the model appearing in the Sony Sound connect app. The photo in the teaser shows the earbuds inside the car from the top up.

Update
Specifications from Dealabs and Billbil-kun
- New QN3e processor (3x faster)
- 8 microphones (4 per earbud)
- 8h + 16h battery life
- New driver
- 10-band EQ
- New DAC and amp
The leak also mentions 360 Reality Audio with head-tracking as a new feature. but the current WF-1000XM5 already supports this. I checked back on the WF-1000XM5 firmware updates, and it seems that this feature was present from debut, so not a new feature.
Perhaps this new QN3e is one of the new CXD chips, CXD379x.

looking forwards to the reveal
ReplyDeleteYes!
ReplyDeleteThey should have moved the schedule up seeing as the design was already leaked
ReplyDeleteSony is a creature of habit, they don't do such things. The wf-1000xm5 and wf-1000xm5 were both revealed many months before their debut and they didn't bring the reveal forward.
DeleteStubbon lol
DeleteSomeone tell Sony we already know they look like ass 😂
ReplyDeleteI think they look great
DeleteMe too! They're beautiful. I also can't wait to see what's inside. Looking forward to the teardown.
DeleteC'mon Sony 👁️
DeleteI'm interested in "new driver"
ReplyDeleteFeeling sad as the specs indicate that it may not be much of an upgrade to xm5.
ReplyDeleteAll that waiting since last April was for nothing :(
I agree, on paper not a big upgrade, but let's wait for reviews.
DeleteYou can't judge anything yet until they're in your ears. April? Pah. A lot of us have been waiting a couple of years
Delete10 band EQ is a good move, EQ is very popular at the moment.
