Sony Black Friday Deals 2023

We are at that time of the year again where some nice deals can be found for a new set of headphones or earbuds from Sony.

First up, the WF-1000XM5. Some deals to be had, not huge discounts, but nice discounts nonetheless. You may be asking if the WF-1000XM5 are a safe purchase since there were battery issues with the WF-1000XM4. Good question, some reports popping up from WF-1000XM5 users saying then are experiencing issues. While it is too early to know, and too few details, I suspect that the difference in battery life users are experiencing could be from using the touch control on one side more often, which tends to drain the battery much faster. Also if the mic is set to pickup voice for the assistant, that will also drain the battery on one side.

This will be the second Black Friday for the WH-1000XM5, so there are some great discounts and deals around. Yet again, the price in Canada is less than the US pricing.

Both UK and German pricing are cheaper than last year's Black Friday deals. Although I suspect you might be able to find them cheaper locally in your own country in various electronic retailers. So please post those deals in the comments.

There big discounts for the LinkBuds S this year, with some prices a lot lower than last year's deals. The LinkBuds S did receive a new firmware update recently, which added some new features and LE Audio support for the new Xperia phones. Germany has a 50% price drop.

The WF-C700N might not be up there with the WF-1000XM5 or LinkBuds S, but they are a solid pair of earbuds and I use these more than my WF-1000XM4, as they are more comfortable and have much quicker pairing with my laptop. If you own the older WF-C500 model, and are thinking of upgrading, I would highly recommend it.

If you are a fan of the previous WH-1000XM4, there is good news, there are discounts to be found and they are some great prices out there. Unfortunately I do not see any offers from Amazon Canada.

The WH-CH720N are a solid set of NC headphones, if you do not have any issues like some users (mostly Samsung phones), are having. I own an Xperia smartphone and have no issues with my WH-CH720N, and no issues with my laptop either. Are they as good as a pair of WH-1000XM5 headphone? No, but they have very good ANC and very good sound quality for the price.

Good news for Walkman fans, the A300 is slightly discounted in the US and Germany. Ideally though, you would order from Japan since the model is not limited there. I would love to get an affiliate from Japan, but that is rather unlikely to happen. But if someone from Japan knows a way I could get a Japanese affiliate for Walkmans and other Sony products, please contact me. Or if you are a Japanese retailer and ship overseas and wish to offer deals to international customers, please contact me.

The new Slim PlayStation 5 is discounted in the US right now, $100 off, priced at $499. I feel local stores will have better prices.

Finally for those looking for the INZONE buds, well I could only find them on Amazon Canada. So you might have to find them locally, since I have seen reddit users posting about them.
