New Sony Signature Series Coming

Here we go, a new Sony Signature Series is coming soon. The information/teaser can be found on Sony Japan's website here. So we are probably looking at the new WM1-Series, YY1298 and YY1299 or ICX-1298 and ICX-1299. The tagline "Walk to the new next level of sound" does not reveal much but perhaps the new level might be Signature Series and Android together perhaps? Or is it alluding to something else?

The reveal is slated for February 9th, 2022, at 10:00 JST. Below are times for other timezones:

There is one more thing, when the new Walkmans appeared on the certification sites, they were accompanied by a new wireless headset, the YY2950. We now know this a WF model since the FCC filing revealed the charging case. The headset will also feature noise cancellation, but why would Sony need another NC WF headset? They already have the WF-1000XM4 and upcoming WF-L900, so is a third NC WF headset really necessary? One idea I had is that the YY2950 is part of the upcoming Sony Signature Series.

Could we get a super premium WF headset with NC, LDAC, larger drivers and balanced armature drivers? Both the YY2950 and the Walkmans have the same end date for the FCC short term confidentiality, June 21, 2022 but this could just be coincidence. 

Anyways, we will know in less than a week what we are looking at.
