New Blog Design
Hello everyone, I have not been posting for a while since I was a bit busy with things outside of the blog but I have more free time now. As everyone has noticed I have switched up the blog design again. The previous design was okay was not to my satisfaction, so after a lot of searching and testing for a new design I have settled upon this one for now. I am happy with the look but there are still some issue, mainly with the images either not being sized correctly or are cut off. I want to fix the image issue by next week, if not, then I will live with it.
The navigation has not changed much but I did add some menus under the logo which when selected can lead directly to the varies labels. For example, selecting Walkmans reveals most of the walkman model labels which when selected will display all posts for that model.
Rumours and news are now accessible via the top menu as well for much quicker glance at past news and rumours. In addition there is now a Don't Miss section that displays various new and popular posts. On the far right are the popular posts, archive and labels if one wishes to see all of them.
That is it for now, I am working on 3 reviews, the MDR-A3 headphones, M-Series review and the WH505 review, will have those up before IFA which is coming up really fast in less than a month. New walkmans are expected to be at the show, mainly new NWZ-A20 and a new ZX100 model, but that is not to say Sony might not bring either a new cheaper model, possibly E or S series and an update to the Headphone walkman, but I have not heard of anything for the latter, only the former.
-Ascariss.
I want to buy a now sony mp3 player like the Sony NWZ-E585 but things like no usb mini connector and min 15 seconds screen lightning enoys me. should I wait for a new product? Anything in pipieline from sony in that priceclass?
ReplyDeleteYou can change the screen off time in the settings, next Common settings and then select "Screen Off Timer" and select the time you wish, it can be up to 30 min. As for a device with no WM-port and only USB, doubtful, only one device from Sony had a mini usb, and that was the older E380 series, but that was not available everywhere.
DeleteI don't want it to be lit for 15seconds is there a setting below that time or is it the minimum? do you think sony will come up soon with a new model in that price class? no memory card support enoys me also...
DeleteUnfortunately 15sec is the smallest time out for the screen. So far only the A-series and ZX series have micro-sd support for now. A new A series and ZX series is coming at IFA There is no information right now about any new S or E series and even if they show up, doubt they will come with micro-sd support since they will not be with hi-res audio support.
Delete:(((( We need new headphones n earphones. MA, EX, ZX, XBA, etc.
ReplyDeleteGreat job, Ascariss, with the new design! I think there is still a sizable Walkman legion...even if it's true that it's a niche thing these days, with most people switching to smartphones. I have both a very nice Xperia Z1 C and a Walkman Z1060 and I wouldn't trade the Walkman for the Xperia. I don't mind carrying both devices when I want to listen to music. I'm suffering a bit now from the rather slow processor in the Z1060. Looking forward to getting a new Walkman in the near future. Let's see what the ZX 100 brings!
ReplyDeleteAppreciated Seb. 3 weeks until IFA so not long now. I am curious if Sony will continue offering the lower end walkmans still, E or S or just focus on high end models only, A and ZX from now on. Would be a shame if they ditched the lower end models.
DeleteHi. Thank you for posting a new page. I was going to purchase nwz-a15, but after reading your blog, I noticed that the coporation Sony is going to release an updated version of nwz-a15, a20. So I am waiting for the new version to be released. When do you think the new version would be released in public? In addition, when do you think it would be sold to the public in South Korea, because I live in South Korea right now. lol.
ReplyDeleteHi there, the new walkmans will be coming to korea, both the new A series (NW-A20) and new ZX100 walkman, they passed through Korea's Radio Research Agency (RRA) in early July.
