Not a rumor but NW-A306 and NW-ZX707 received updated 1.02. States "improved general performance" but does not go into detail. Really curious what they improved

Pretty sure the ULT900N is scheduled to release on April 13, https://fccid.io/AK8YY2981/Letter/Dismissal-request-letter-7206258

the dates don't always correspond to release/announcements, sometimes the product is announced a few days before the FCC date, can also be a month earlier. There were times when the FCC filing revealed the products, although not high end models.
DeleteIdk if the previous comment was sent but, I don't mean the FCC date but Sony stating they will release on the 13th, are we on the same page?
Deleteah you meant the FCC dismissal letter information. I suspect Sony will want to delay the FCC filing release if the date of April 13 is still correct. They do mention risk of leakage bu most of the information (specs) and product photo has been leaked.
DeleteFCC official website will disclose product information on April 11, 2024, but the launch date of our product is April 13, 2024. This will make
the product information public in advance, and there is a risk of leakage. The applicant is preparing these materials for submission as soon at practicable and intends to reuse this FCC ID. Therefore, the applicant respectfully requests that this Request for Dismissal without Prejudice be considered without delay.
I couldn't quite understand it, were they requesting to put forward the date fcc makes it public to 13?
DeleteI think they want to move the date back further, so the fcc filing does not reveal them, which again has already been done.
DeleteThat dismissal letter requesting the release be changed to 13th is recent (28th of March) so isn't it quite confirmed the release is on 13th?
DeleteSearching for YY2981 via the FCC search today, the model is missing in the results. Original date was october 13th, nothing in october now in the search results. So the dismissal letter probably removes the listing. And Sony will re-submit the listing with a FCC reveal date after the release which if the original document is to be believed, should still be April 13th. This sucks, as we will not see the internal documents on the 11th.
