Sony NW-A100 Walkman available for Pre-order on Amazon Japan (update)
The new NW-A100 Walkman is available for pre-order on Amazon Japan. If anyone wishes to pre-order, and wishes to support the blog, please do use the affiliate links below, since a small tiny percent of the purchase will help fund the purchase of future products for review.
Update: To our Japanese visitors/readers, if anyone knows any online Japanese retailers that will sell these and ship internationally, please leave a comment with a link to the retailer.
But if anyone is able to find it locally cheaper or with some deals, always go for the best price you can get.
NW-A105
NW-A105HN
NW-A106
NW-A107
Once the new A-Series goes on sale here, I will be picking up my own, not sure which model, either the A105 or A100TPS.
Thank you for your great articles! Any idea what the processor is on this one? Or if it can handle the OS?
ReplyDeleteI'm still trying to find the SoC used in the new walkmans. I have seen photos of the board with the chip on some Japanese sites but it is of low quality and I cannot make out the writing on the chip.
DeleteSo if any Japanese visitors/readers have seen a high resolution version where one can read the chips. Please post a link in the comments here.
Probably some low budget qualcomm soc
DeleteThank you for the info - was going to get the new ipod touch (not a Apple person but loved this product) might wait now. How would one go about buying though as Amazon.jp kept saying, don't deliver to Aus? Thanks in advance
ReplyDeleteBy Aus, do you mean Australia? the new walkman should be offered there but I am assuming you want the higher capacity version? or one with headphones?
DeleteYou might need to find a someone on Ebay selling them or an online retailer that ships internationally from Japan.
If anyone know any such retailers, please post them in the comments.
Sony Australia will be stocking the anniversary model. If you are after one of the colour variations you may need to look overseas. I highly recommend Accessory Jack based in Hong Kong, but they haven't announced which models they will be stocking as yet. They are my go-to when Sony Aus are tardy with their stock or don't have the model I am after.
