Sony YY2995 - USB Type-C Audio Box

A new model has been revealed by a Korean RRA certification, YY2995, described as an "USB Type-C Audio Box". Could this be a new Sony USB DAC amp like the PHA-3?
The certification reveals that whatever this is, will be made in Vietnam. But would a wireless certification mean it would have Bluetooth and/or WiFi for audio streaming? I have checked other certification websites, and so far found nothing. The certifications is below with a translated version.
If anyone has any other theories or ideas, drop them in the comments. Are there competing DAC amps that feature Bluetooth or even WiFi?
Last time I saw Sony use the term audio box was with the InZone H3 USB adapter https://www.speedyspares.com/shop/sony/5319-sony-headphone-usb-audio-box-inzone-h3.html. This was USB A so maybe this is a C variant for your previously rumoured new headset. On the other hand I think they abandoned the need for an adapter with InZone H5. And not sure why it would need wireless certification, maybe just as an accessory for a new hybrid headset?
ReplyDeleteno the H5 still uses an adapter (YY2979) which comes with the headset, which I believe is required when using the headset for gaming.
Deletethe new unreleased inzone headset already has a usb transceiver, YY2998, with the headset being YY2987, so I don't think it is for this.
Not sure why sony would add a wireless audio box for an non-wireless headset. Why not just make the headset wireless?
Something similar to the JBL transmitter perhaps?
