Firmware Update to Version 3.02.01 for NW-ZX700/NW-A300 series

A new security update firmware has been released by Sony for the A and ZX Walkmans. This brings the Android patch level up to April 2025.

There is some additional information courtesy of E_D___B_A_N_G_E_R from reddit. It seems the support period for Sony's A-Series Walkman is only till October 31st this year. This is from the Sony UK support site.

This might just mean Sony will stop offering security patch updates after this date, and nothing else. But perhaps this could also indicate Sony is working on a new model for a release sometime in the upcoming future since support will end later this year. But both WM1 models have no support information either., so take that as you will.
