Sony INZONE Lineup 2025

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025

Sony revealed their 2025 INZONE lineup today. The live event video was rather lackluster, so if you did not catch it, you did not miss much. A total of 7 new products were announced if you count the 2 mouse pads, and the new black INZONE H3. Here is the full list:

Support My Work through Buy me a coffee

  • H9 II wireless ANC headset
  • E9 wired in-ear headphones
  • KBD-H75 gaming keyboard
  • Mouse-A gaming mouse
  • Mat-D gaming mousepad
  • Mat-F gaming mousepad
  • H3 black

INZONE H9 II (WH-G910N, YY2987)

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025 WH-G910N INZONE H9 II

Starting off with the main event, the new INZONE H9 II. The model has received a full redesign, new earcups, new headband, and a new microphone which can be detached. Sony has opted for 30mm drivers on the new model, borrowed from the new WH-1000XM6. The weight of the new model has been significantly decreased, down to 260g from a previous 330g. The battery life has decreased by 2 hours, which could indicate a smaller battery capacity. The previous model had a 3.85V 520mAh battery.

Sony has added support for the Sound Connect app. I do not expect Sony to add support for the previous model, but who knows.

The detachable side microphone uses AI to optimize the mic quality and noise cancellation when using chat. Wonder what Bluetooth SoC the model is using. Previously the H9 used the older Mediatek MT2811. Hopefully Sony has upgraded to the same SoC as in the WH-1000XM6, the MT2833.

The microphone is a highly directional cardioid boom type which can pick up the voice clearly while cutting ambient noise. The back of the microphone is a mesh, so I suspect there is a noise cancellation mic in there to cancel out noise? Otherwise, why else have a mesh on the back?

The Bluetooth version has been upgraded to 5.3, from 5.0. Codec support has improved with the addition of LC3. There is no LDAC as this codec is not really geared towards gaming with its high latency. As for LC3plus, I suspect this codec might have additional license fee costs. so this might be why it was not included.

As for the noise cancellation, neither the press release or product pages really specify anything new, so difficult to know if anything has changed. The previous model only has a feedback and feedforward microphone for ANC, so the most basic setup. Previously Sony opted for electret microphones in the H9, and from this photo below, it looks like Sony has changed the mics to MEMS, at least the feedback mic. This is good to see.

I do not believe the new model has any additional NC mics, but we will need to wait for a teardown to confirm this.

The H9 II uses a smaller USB receiver, with a USB type-C connection. This is something I wrote about back in April. A welcome change as it makes the receiver much more compact.

Finally here is what is included with the new model, a carrying pouch, the microphone, USB receiver, USB cable, and audio cable. The previous model did not include the audio cable or carrying pouch, so at least Sony did up their game here. The pouch looks almost identical to one offered with the WH-1000XM5 SA model, with the corners being less rounded in the INZONE H9 II pouch.

INZONE E9 (IER-G900, YY2989)

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025 IER-G900 INZONE E9

While Sony has high end premium IER models, they never had any for their gaming line. It is great to see Sony still keeping wired in-ear models alive, and I suspect we might see additional models in the near future for their regular headset lineup.

The model comes with 2 different types of tips, hybrid silicone and noise isolation foam tips. The latter might be similar to the tips that ship with the WF-1000XM5. Included with the earbuds is a carrying case and a USB-C audio box which enables 360 Spatial Sound for Gaming and EQ tuning. I am pretty sure this was the YY2995 model I discovered. A comment by Mikael on the post was correct, and this Audio box is like what ships with the INZONE H3. Props to Mikael.

Sony has decided to use a regular dynamic driver for the E9, saving the planar magnetic drivers for their PlayStation models. There are no details on the size of the driver in the press release, but thankfully the Sony Japanese site has the specs, 5mm. seems a bit small no? I was hoping Sony would have used a combination of dynamic and BA drivers, but guess that was too expensive? Here is a hands on from AV-Watch.

The specification page says the cord is a "Detachable Y-type", so I supposed you can disconnect the buds from the cables, like with Sony's other IER and XBA models? or is that a wrong assumption?

I like the design of the E9, but the giant INZONE and E9 logos are tacky, so it is a pass from me. If you wish to pre-order these, check out the links below.

Amazon US - $149 (release August 29th)

Amazon UK - £108 (release September 22nd)

Amazon DE -  €126 (release September 22nd)

Sony Canada has these up for pre-order on their site, shipping is around middle of September, priced at $199 CAD.

INZONE KBD-H75 gaming keyboard (YY2992)

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025 INZONE keyboard

Seeing as I know jack about gaming keyboards, I will just post up the text from the press release. If anyone with more knowledge of gaming keyboards wishes to post their thoughts, please leave a comment.

The INZONE KBD-H75 is Sony’s first gaming keyboard3. Featuring a rapid trigger that allows you to toggle input on/off without returning keys to the reset position, combined with up to an 8000Hz polling rate for lightning-fast signal delivery. This powerful combination enhances your FPS gameplay experience!

Perfect for long gaming sessions, by utilising a gasket mount absorbs impact and dampens vibration, delivering a softer press and cleaner sound that keeps you focused over hours of play.

Incorporating professional feedback from Fnatic, the INZONE KBD-H75 gaming keyboard adopts a 75% layout while eliminating key isolation for an even more compact width.

The space-efficient dial allows for customizable assignments4, such as volume control which frees up space for fast, clean mouse flicks. Featuring a machined aluminium chassis, this keyboard offers a quality feel that befits a long-term partner in your gaming journey.

Not sure why it is 75%, and not 100%, but I guess this is what many gamers prefer. It seems pretty fancy, and it also comes with a fancy price, 300 USD/250 Euros. Ouch. I was mistaken in my original post, the keyboard was never wireless, apologies for the mistake. Here are some more fun facts from Amazon.

INZONE Mouse-A gaming mouse (YY2992)

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025 INZONE wireless mouse

Again I will let the press release do all the talking.

This ultra-lightweight mouse balances agility and rigidity. At 48.4g, INZONE Mouse-A feels fast and effortless and thanks to a reinforced shell with hollow glass microspheres that contribute to the weight reduction and the stability that holds strong under pressure and plays with purpose all session long with up to 90 hours battery life5.

The mouse also equipped with a high-performance custom sensor exclusive to INZONE, with up to 30K DPI acceleration up to 70G, and a maximum speed of 750 IPS giving you pinpoint accuracy at pro-level speed.

At polling rate up to 8000Hz, INZONE Mouse-A delivers smoother tracking and near-zero lag. Custom signal tuning keeps it stable, even under max polling load.

The optical switch uses light to transmit signals, resulting in no physical contact, which significantly increases response speed. This allows for quicker actions during gameplay.

From form factor to click feel, INZONE Mouse-A was shaped through hands-on feedback from Fnatic players, refined across prototypes for handling that holds under pressure.

I could not tell you if this mouse is good or bad, as I have zero knowledge of gaming mice. I would think it is at least competitive with other brands, right?

INZONE Mat-F and INZONE Mat-D

Sony Inzone Lineup 2025 INZONE mouse mat

If you told me there was an entire market for gaming mouse mats, I would not believe you. But yet here we are. Here is the info from the press release.

Two new mousepads are added to the INZONE range – the INZONE Mat-F and INZONE Mat-D.

The INZONE Mat-F provides a 6mm thickness with the SlimFlex material, just enough resistance to support sharper aiming and smoother braking, deal for low sens players. The textured fabric allows easy micro-corrections with enough friction to support hard stops making it ideal for low sens players needing both finesse and control.

The INZONE Mat-D has a 4mm thickness and is designed for a smooth glide and high-speed response in any Battle Royale style games. The low friction supports light, fast flicks and effortless tracking, ideal for high sens players who rely on constant motion.

Designed in collaboration with Fnatic, INZONE Mat-F and INZONE Mat-D low edge and anti-fray stitching allows the stitch line to sit below the surface, staying out of your way during gameplay and built for consistent use.

Both mats have been developed with core gamers in mind. Every surface detail was shaped through co-creation with Fnatic pros for speed, precision, and stability at top-level play.

Strange enough, both of these mats were in an import filings, YY2993 and YY2997. I was puzzled why these were actual models from Sony, and not just included with the mouse. But I guess super large mouse pads exist for gaming, and it makes sense. Maybe I should have posted them up in an article.

Inzone H3 (black)

Finally the H3 in black. Check your local retailers for availability.

And with that, we are done. The new lineup does fill out the model list of Sony models. I will be updating the list in the near future with some additional details. We are left with only a few unreleased models, the YY2985 (WF-1000XM6), YY2998, and YY3004. YY3004 has a similar description to the INZONE E9, so perhaps it is a new IER model as well? Remains to be seen.

Drop your thoughts in the comments regarding the new lineup below.
