Sony Trademarked 1000X THE COLLEXION
Sony has trademarked something interesting, "1000X THE COLLEXION". The trademark was filled in late June in both Japan and Canada. The trademark hints at what products could be part of this series/collection in the description.
Headphones; earphones; portable audio players; radios; loudspeakers; amplifiers; television receivers; telecommunication machines and apparatus
I find it interesting that portable audio players are also included. Perhaps we will see some Walkman models in the future using this trademark? Sony did trademark ULT Wear, ULT Field, ULT Tower before the release of the ULT line, so perhaps the "1000X THE COLLEXION" could be special edition models of the current lineup.
Here are the listings. The trademark in Canada is still Pending, so it is not yet approved. I check trademarks in Germany and Justia, but nothing is present there yet.
So what are people's thoughts, what could we be looking at here?

wf1000xm6? fingers crossed
ReplyDeleteTo avoid going insane with the waiting, I have told myself that they'll be releasing in late October
DeleteHa same here. I do believe that the Technics AZ100 now sit where the WF series were, so perhaps they are taking longer to make sure they actually have a worthy contender.
DeleteAtp im gonna dip and get the az100s ๐ญ
DeletePerhaps Sony has delayed the model? to improve it. Unknown if the first half 2025 release rumours were even accurate.
DeleteEven if we ignore the rumours, going by the release pattern, they should drop the buds any time this month or September.
DeleteI have saved up money equivalent to 400 USD. I visit this blog almost everyday hoping that I'll get to see a new post.
Let's just hope all this delay is not for any half-baked AI features, like most of the industry is doing right now.
Nothing will drop. There is no certification anywhere.
DeleteLikely won't be releasing until next May as the WH series took 3 years for an update.
ReplyDeleteI honestly believe that the AZ100 derailed their plans of a release this year, they're just a perfect replacement for the current WF xm5 - bigger driver, same price bracket, great app, battery life and most importantly sound much better than the xm5. I wish Sony would use bigger dynamic drivers like they use to in the old days on their iem like the mdr-ex90 etc.
