Sony WF-C710N Firmware Update Version 1.0.5 (Update)
Sony has released the first firmware update for the WF-C710N. My own unit suffers from an issue where the audio quality on Windows 11 drops to sub 64kbps quality with intermittent cutouts. Disconnecting and reconnecting the earbuds solves this issue, but my other Sony earbud models do not have this problem.
Benefits and Improvements
- Improves the operational stability of the headset
Hopefully this updates solves this problem. I do wish Sony would address the major concern I have, which is the rather mediocre noise cancelling performance. I struggle to find any difference in ANC performance when comparing the WF-C710N and WF-C700N.
Anyone else with the WF-C710N who also experienced the issue with the sound quality dropping on Windows? What about other problems? Post them in the comments.
Update - Does not look like the firmware update fixed my issue of the audio quality dropping off. I really do not want to install Windows 25H2 to see if that fixes it.
Thanks MrWalkman for the heads up about the update.

The Bluetooth issue is persistent among many Sony products. My Xperia 1 IV drops Bluetooth signal constantly when using a pair of air pods pro. I also have some Bose and One Plus headphones which can barely be heard when connected to my Xperia. All three have no issue working when connected to other devices.
