Sony WH-1000XM4 to be released in White (update 2)

There were rumours of a white version of the WH-1000XM4 before the release last year, information spotted in Sony's own app, but nothing was released. But now, it seems it will finally be released.  Spotted by justplayinghard and linuxct on twitter, the white design follows the same colour pattern as the silver model.

Unlike the midnight blue colour option, the new white colour will be available internationally. I have spotted some retail listings, 1 in Switzerland and 1 in New Zealand. Hopefully more retailers will be posting up their listings soon. I would suggest if anyone is interested in the new white colour option to keep checking their local retailers and Amazon.

 

The rubbermonkey site has the wrong photo, but the model is different, SKU WH1000XM4W and the price is $100 higher than the silver model, suggesting this is a new product. 

Update:

Sony's encompass parts site has the new white model listed, so definitely coming soon.

With the new white colour appearing on a few retailers, it could indicate a release is coming soon.

Update #2:

Looks the retailers have pulled the listings, same for the encompass site but searching for the white model still lists it, so definitely coming in the future.
