Is the Sony YY2975 the new LinkBuds S successor?

We have another new Sony headset, the YY2975. The headset is currently only on Apple's MFi certification site, so we have very little information. This might be the first time a new Sony headset was revealed by a MFi certification.

This new unknown model joins the upcoming new LinkBuds 2 (YY2964) and YY2982 headsets slated for release later this year. So what is the YY2975? Well we have 2 options, either the new WH-1000XM6 or LinkBuds S successor. Weibo user Zackbuks has some information on his page which might give us a clue.

If this is true, then the YY2975 would have to be the new LinkBuds S2, as Zackbuk's message basically rules out a WH-1000XM6 model this year. Perhaps Sony is trying to bring the WF and WH lines in sync, with both mark 6 models coming out together next year? Would make sense but who knows.

Well we now wait for the FCC filing, as this will reveal if we are looking at a set of earbuds or full headphones. My money is on the earbuds, so we are looking at the new LinkBuds S2, or whatever they will be called.
