Sony YY3013 - Another set of Earbuds?

Sony has another wireless headset in the pipeline, YY3013. Unfortunately details are limited, so here is everything we know so far. Thanks to MrWalkman for providing additional details.

Sony is actively testing the headset right now, but it is still in early stages. The HS code (85183020) does seem to indicate we are looking at wireless earbuds, joining other set of earbuds, YY3008.

The above import filing appeared in late December, but it appeared with many other models (ex, YY3001, YY3007, YY3010), so I was not sure if this was a real model or some error in the import filings.

The above filings were exported by Goertek, which is a company providing parts and manufacturing for Sony.

 
Thanks to MrWalkman, we know that this new headset has been testing it since early January 2026.

The HDX-3013 code appeared in a filing for the battery holder component, in late December. Once I saw this listing, it was clear that YY3013 was real and coming some time in the future. The part in question could be the piece of plastic that holds the battery under the PCB

Another import site has some more import filings with details for moulds for various parts like "holder key", "light guide", and "holder sensor". These might be parts for the case.

 

 The second photo shows the importer, Sony EMCS (M) SDN BHD. This is the factory in Malaysia where Sony makes the WH-1000XM6 headset. Whether this headset will be made in Malaysia is still up for debate, but importing moulds to a factory could suggest, at least these parts, could be made there.

 

This headset will be using a Mediatek chipset for its wireless chip, but the specific SoC is not yet know right now, but I am confident we will get these details in the near future.
