Sony Amazon Prime Day Deals
Prime days are here and there are some good deals to be found. But I think in previous years, the discounts have been better. So time to see what kind of deals Amazon is offering.
WH-1000XM5
Only the US and UK have discounts, nothing in Canada. It is not a big discount, but it is something. Owning a pair myself, they are fantastic, but if you can find these cheaper elsewhere, grab them there. I think WH Smith in the UK ha them for less.
WH-CH720N
Looking at something more affordable, the WH-CH720N is discounted and heavily in some areas. UK is the odd one out here, no discounts, but in Canada it is now half price. I own a pair myself, and yes I am planning on posting a review. I will point out that some users have experienced constant disconnection issues, while other have not. I have not. They are decent pair of NC headphones and for the price right on Amazon, they are a good deal, especially in Canada.
Amazon UK - £99.00 GBP (no discount)
If you do not have Amazon Prime in Canada, the SonyShop also has it at 50% off. And no, this one is not sponsored. Although I would gladly take a Sponsor deal from them :D
WH-CH520
The most affordable option from Sony. I do not own a pair, but for the price, they seem like a good deal. This model does not come with 3.5mm jack, they are only wireless, so once the battery dies, they will not work until recharged.
LinkBuds
Only Canada and the UK have discounts, nothing in the US. Personally I am not a fan of the LinkBuds concept, I would rather own a LinkBuds S. But if you always wanted to get one, there are some okay discounts.
LinkBuds S
Some great discounts here. If you own a new Xperia 1 IV and 5 IV, you can also test out LE Audio with these. Some users say these offer better NC performance (up for debate), but they do offer much better comfort due to their smaller size.
WF-C700N
Owning a pair myself, I can truly say these are a good solid pair of wireless earbuds. The sound quality is improved versus the WF-C500 and the noise cancellation is pretty decent. The nicest feature is the comfort, they are super small and compact and you do not even notice you are wearing them. While the LinkBuds S do provide better ANC performance, they are more expensive.
WF-1000XM4
It is difficult to recommend the WF-1000XM4 right now with the WF-1000XM5 right around the corner. But the newer model will be more expensive and stock may be low and wait times for ordering one could be long once they are released. In addition the current model has a more mature firmware with most of the bugs ironed out. Although there is the battery drain issue one has to take into account. It is a double edged sword situation. For those living in Canada, Costco has these for $199 CAD in store.
WH-1000XM4
The UK has a nice discount for those who still prefer the older model, right now it is £197 GBP.
The Sony ZV-1F is also discounted right now, round 20% off in the US and UK, and 15% off in Canada.
Finally the Xperia 10 V is about 20% off in the UK right now. From user reviews on Reddit, the battery is ridiculously good. I do not see any Xperia 1 V discounts.
