Firmware Update to Version 1.02.00 for NW-ZX700/NW-A300 series
Sony has released a firmware update for both the NW-A300 and NW-ZX700 Walkmans. The new firmware version is 1.02.00.
The changes are minimal, a security update and general performance improvements.
- Provides a Security update (The security level displayed in the Settings menu will be as of June 2023)
- Improves general performance
Any users notice any performance changes with their units?
I noticed a change in the song format decoder inside the song music player app. the flac files that i was listening to after the update were changed more. more treble and higher pitched acoustics. (alot less bassy feeling in the acoustics and drums) (the acoustics sounded more high pitched and quick, not a lot of 'sticking' going on where the bass previously had been involved).
ReplyDeleteI noticed also the when changing the volume in the sony volume app window when tapping the right android component volume adjuster, the volume behaviour is very sharply more intricate. It’s weird but the separate components work very uniquely different. When purchasing the zx507 then the zx707 where reading documentation the players capacitors are in a specific arrangement to increase quality and sound behaviour in the hardware component. The software components work very different from where I experimented and noticed the behaviour myself in both players.. it’s tedious but you have to listen to at least detailed acoustic songs and increase then decrease the volumes in intervals (more like up then down and up again). The Different components to mainly sort of kick the work load of the electronic charges into the circuit leading to the capacitors with a different organization in power control. The amp circuit will get a desired result out of quality and volume levels from ranges lower to higher where also I noticed the volume can be louder at lower volume values when doing got this exact task in your listening time.
