Firmware Update to Version 2.03.01 for NW-ZX700/NW-A300 series

Sony has released a firmware update for the A and ZX Walkmans. The update is not the Android 14 update, but rather a security update along with a fix for a playback bug, where music could not be played back from where it was stopped previously.

Before updating, make sure the Walkman is fully charged, as some users have had the update fail when the battery level was too low.

Checking Geekbench, there have been no new Android 14 test results, apart from the first ones I wrote about here. I am hopeful for a early Fall 2024 release but it is unknown how long Sony has been testing the Android 14 firmware for.
